LYCRA FiT400™ fiber is an innovative all-in-one solution for knit fabrics that provides permanent stretch, recovery, and moisture management benefits that last the lifetime of the garment. Built to optimize fabric performance, comfort, and durability, this bicomponent elastomultiester/elasterell-p fiber is a workhorse, showing its value across a broad range of garment types.
The magic of LYCRA FiT400™ fiber lies in its chemistry: This fiber combines two distinct polyester polymers that create a permanent helical crimp, delivering lasting performance and exceptional comfort. It offers non-spandex mechanical stretch that behaves differently than spandex/elastane and solves different problems in active essentials, everyday bottoms, core tops, intimates, and underwear.
LYCRA FiT400™ fiber is offered in three formulations, each built on the same high-performance foundation. The difference lies in scope:
Essential: Our entry-level offering, this fiber delivers the core performance benefits of LYCRA FiT400™ fiber.
Expanded: Delivers the core benefits of the fiber plus a soft hand and second-skin feel, as well as added sustainability benefits (minimum 15% bio-based content; can be recycled at end of life). Available in a broader denier range.
Elevated: Delivers the full performance of Expanded and Essential LYCRA FiT400™ fiber with the addition of Global Recycled Standard-certified polyester.
