Julien Born

Julien is President & CEO of The LYCRA Company and leads its overall operations and ambitious growth plans. Julien joined the business in 2007 and, since 2018, led the company’s apparel business, where he managed the global commercial organization, helped strengthen R&D and innovation capabilities and oversaw manufacturing assets. Previously, he spent eight years in Shanghai and Hong Kong serving as Asia executive vice president for INVISTA Apparel & Advanced Textiles. Julien has had a diverse 24-year career in the US, Europe, and Asia, as both an executive in large multinational companies such as DuPont and INVISTA and as a business owner, having co-founded and served as managing director of MODA Marketing & Licensing, a full-service corporate licensing agency. Julien holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business and a Swiss baccalaureate degree.

Scott Blackadar

Scott is president of The LYCRA Company’s personal care business. Scott held several roles at INVISTA’s Apparel & Advanced Textiles division before it became The LYCRA Company. Overall, he has 25 years of management experience with The LYCRA Company, INVISTA, AT Kearney, Arthur Andersen and MediaOne. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Sandra Lyle

As vice president of human resources, Sandra leads all aspects of HR for The LYCRA Company, including compensation and benefits. She joined its predecessor company, INVISTA, in 2004, where she supported European-based businesses as HR Director. Previously, Sandra worked for 15 years at Desmond’s, a Northern Ireland-based apparel company, in various HR roles, where she had responsibility for management development. As the HR lead for Desmond’s outerwear division, Sandra oversaw six manufacturing plants in Ireland and Turkey. Sandra holds an honors degree in social science from the University of Ulster and a post-graduate diploma from the Institute of Personnel and Development.

Dan Rikard

Dan has global responsibility for legal, corporate secretarial, intellectual property, and ethics and compliance matters as chief legal officer for The LYCRA Company. Dan joined the company in August 2018 as general counsel for its predecessor, INVISTA Apparel & Advanced Textiles. He has over 28 years of business and legal experience, with over 15 years serving as the chief legal officer for global businesses. Dan started his career at the law firm Alston & Bird in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Davidson College.

Ji Wei Shao

Based in Shanghai, Ji Wei is the chief operating officer overseeing The LYCRA Company's global operations, including plant operations, supply chain, logistics, and information technology organizations. Previously, he held the chief strategy officer role, where he was responsible for strategy and corporate development for The LYCRA Company. Ji Wei has extensive experience in strategic and capital markets transactions across regions. Ji Wei holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Global Professional Master of Laws degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Finance degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Dean Williams

Dean oversees finance and accounting capabilities for The LYCRA Company as chief financial officer. Previously, Dean has held various finance and accounting leadership roles with INVISTA Apparel & Advanced Textiles in the U.K., and served as finance director in its Geneva, Switzerland office before moving to the United States in 2010. He has over 25 years of experience in finance and leadership roles with INVISTA, DuPont and Imperial Chemical Industries. Dean holds a bachelor’s degree in science from University of South Wales.
