LYCRA® LASTINGFIT 2.0 technology makes European debut at Kingpins Amsterdam
The LYCRA Company’s latest LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ brand innovation for denim offers long-lasting fit and comfort with sustainability benefits
The LYCRA Company, a global leader in developing durable and sustainable fiber and technology solutions for the apparel industry, announced today that it is showcasing its latest innovation for stretch denim, LYCRA® lastingFIT 2.0 technology, at Kingpins Amsterdam in stand Blue 06. The LYCRA Company will also present new constructions at Kingpins in collaboration with leading denim mills. The invitation-only trade show takes place April 12-13 at SugarCity in Halfweg, Netherlands.
The LYCRA Company launched LYCRA® lastingFIT 2.0 technology, the latest innovation in its LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ brand portfolio of durable fibers, at Kingpins New York in January. Offered in recycled fibers including LYCRA® EcoMade and LYCRA® T400® EcoMade fibers, this technology delivers a wide range of stretch levels to create well-fitting jeans with long-lasting stretch and recovery, a cotton-like hand feel, and an authentic denim look.
“Increasingly, consumers concerned with reducing their environmental footprint are investing in higher quality garments designed to last longer because they are made with durable fibers,” said Ebru Ozaydin, The LYCRA Company’s strategic marketing director, denim, wovens, and ready-to-wear. “We are excited to showcase LYCRA® lastingFIT 2.0 technology at Kingpins because this technology provides long-lasting fit solutions with an authentic denim look and feel.”
The LYCRA Company is also promoting LYCRA® ADAPTIV fiber at Kingpins to meet another essential consumer need. This patent-pending polymer delivers a liberating wearing experience whether the wearer is at rest or in motion. This revolutionary fiber creates jeans and woven bottoms with a wider fit window to suit different genders and body shapes. Its soft and easy stretch properties enable inclusive sizing while adapting to meet the wearer’s functional needs. Apparel made with this fiber can satisfy the online shopper’s need for better-fitting clothes, while also reducing the high cost of returns for brands and retailers.
